The PX-50 index increased by 0.18% on Friday, as major markets recovered slightly and Prague followed. The gainer of the day was Ceske Radiokomunikace, up 4.37 with a daily high of CZK 1,407, as the market revived speculation regarding an extra dividend from the RadioMobil compensation proceeds (see below). Komercni banka continued in its decline, down 3.99%, closing at CZK 715.30. The sellers in KB were not as strong as on Thursday, but still more than 300,000 shares changed hands. Most of the volume was made up by local retail brokerages. Cesky Telecom lost 1.73%, trading at its new 52-week low of CZK 442.50. Again, the stock traded on a good volume of more than 550,000 shares. We are likely to see a positive open after the US market performance on Friday. Total market volume reached USD 19.76 mil. on Friday, a reasonable figure given what we’ve seen over the last couple of months.
