The continued weakness of European markets brought no change to recent the decline in the PX-50 index, yesterday down 1.14% to 459 points. The loser of the day was Ceske radio, down 3.84%. The stock traded in a good volume of 107,901 shares (recent average approx. 40,000 shares). Yesterday's volume signals the impatience of investors regarding the lack of Ceske radio privatization developments and the non distribution of profits from the sale of Radiomobil. Other stocks were largely sideways yesterday, though Cesky telecom traded near its 52-week low. Only CEZ rebounded strongly, rising 5.20% to close at CZK 84. CEZ continues to trade heartily, with a session average of more than 1.5 mil. traded shares of late. Overall volume reached USD 16.5 mil. Wednesday.
