The State Nuclear Safety Agency performed the last tests at CEZ’s nuclear Temelin plant over the weekend, and there is a reasonable chance that fuel could be activated in the plant’s first block tonight. The prospect of Temelin being put into operation has attracted additional attention from environmental groups and politicians. Most recently, the Austrian chancellor called on the Czech prime minister to delay the launch until the plant's safety is further corroborated. There may be increased political activity concerning Temelin today; moreover, another delay for technical reasons cannot be ruled out. We rate CEZ a buy.
