The Prague PX-50 index fell under the 500 level in morning trading on Tuesday, but stronger European markets during the day and a strong gain by Komercni later helped push the index up to a 502.40 closing value, i.e., up 0.02% on the day. Yesterday a couple of speculative sellers in CEZ emerged, but flow from local funds helped lift the stock up 0.42%, closing at 107.39. Ceske radio took a roller-coaster ride as it traded as low as CZK 1,507 but then bounced back up to CZK 1,590, a gain of 3.25%. Komercni shot up 2% as the Ministry of Finance announced that it has five indications of interest in the bank so far. Overall volumes were again disappointing, at USD 11.2 mil.
