On Monday we saw low-volume trading with limited interest from London brokers and Czech market makers, characteristic of the last couple of months on the market. Volumes reached only USD 6.8 mil. on Monday. Though the market added 0.14%, the heavyweight Cesky Telecom lost 0.40%, ignoring the healthy gains of European telecom stocks yesterday. Moreover, the domestic market seems to be more concerned about US equities than European. We expect Czech blue chips to trade in a tight range and on low volumes in the coming days. The only exception may be CEZ and Unipetrol, the sale of both should be discussed by Cabinet on Wednesday.
