(Ladislav Kovář) Unipetrol held its AGM on Friday. On the agenda were the relatively uninteresting issues of approving 1999 financials and personnel changes at the supervisory board. Shareholders also approved to pay no dividends out of the company’s 1999 profits. Also, Unipetrol CEO Pavel Svarc said that there is no schedule for the privatization of Unipetrol (63% owned by state) at this moment. According to our information, however, the government may discuss a draft of a plan regarding the privatization of Unipetrol in September; we do not expect any conclusive decision, though.
