Prague stock market fell further today even neighbouring markets rebounded. Index PX lost 1.4% to close at 1,493.7. CEZ declined to CZK 770 level (-2.4%) after Morgan Stanley placed 1m shares for CZK 770. Erste dropped as usual after reporting its numbers by 2.3% on the back of disappointing earnings.
Cesky Telecom (CT) declined by 1.5% and found support at CZK 490 level as investors are not happy with CT’s CZK 3.3bn loan to Telefonica. Komercni banka (KB) and Orco were the only stocks finished in back. KB posted better than expected 1Q06 results and upped further payout ration to 40-50% from 40%. Orco soared above CZK 2,911 despite it went ex-dividend today. Note that PSE is closed on Monday 01.05.2006. Zentiva reports its 1Q06 figures on Tuesday 02.05.2006 at 11:00 London time, also CME reports next week on 04.05.2006 before 3:30 London time.
