The Slovak koruna took a few steps back
on Friday as it weakened to 37.40 in early
trading. The unit however corrected some of
its losses during the day and finished the
session at 37.35. This week’s calendar is
relatively unattractive. Economic data are
few and include no market movers.
Today,
the April state budget data are for release,
but these shouldn’t play a role in today’s
trading. As usual, external factors are likely
to dominate the koruna’s path. The currency
is expected to continue to move in line with
other regional markets without clear trend
and with further temporary swings in both
directions on the cards. Today, it should
oscillate within the range of 37.25 - 37.45.
