Market closed in red inspirited by global sell-off sentiment. All blue chips declined. CEZ was pushed down to CZK 690, but finished above CZK 700. CEZ was the most traded stock again. Unipetrol and Cesky Telecom fell by 4.7% and 2.5% respectively as were sold by local accounts on the back of no news. Zentiva followed Hungarian pharmas and decreased by 1.3% and closed below CZK 1,800 level. Volumes were subdued and we saw mainly local activity on Czech market today.
CZK is the strongest against USD in the history. This is could be negative as it makes Czech stocks more expensive for USD investors.
