The Czech koruna continued firming against the euro today. There were no news on the market. However, positive regional influence pushes the koruna higher to final 28,18 CZK/EUR. The koruna looses versus the dollar again as optimistic outlook about Fed interest rates helps the American currency to firm. Now it trades at 1,2800 against the euro. Tomorrow, a key event will be the ECB meeting. A rate hike of 25 b.p. is expected. A hawkish comment of Mr. Trichet, or even a 50 b.p. hike, could make a pressure on the dollar and also the CE currencies.
