The Czech koruna closes weaker on Monday at 28,54 CZK/EUR and 22,73 CZK/USD. Its losses against the euro are marginal, the Czech currency had the best relative performance in the region today. It stayed almost intact of negative sentiment caused by poor Hungarian economic outlook, jitteriness after Slovak elections and strong American dollar. The Hungarian forint weakened today to its all-time lows versus the euro. The fall came after rate hike of Hungarian central bank, when some traders may have been disappointed by "only" a 25bp hike.
The koruna lost some 17 h against the dollar when the dollar gained vs. the euro and trades at 1,2560 USD/EUR. In eurozone, the trade balance came up worse than expected today. For tomorrow, no special news are expected.
