The Czech koruna started today trading firmer, the rate got as far as to 28,34 CZK/EUR, but reversed afterwards. Ending price is then the same as yesterday, 28,39 CZK/EUR. Czech central bank raised interest rates by 25 bps. The action helped the koruna to firm a bit higher, but couldn´t push the rate further as the hike was expected by majority of the market. The afternoon CZK weakening was dragged by the Polish zloty as local central bank indicated no interest rate move in the near future.
The CZK firmed significantly against the US dollar as the USD is loosing after yesterday Fed´s Beige book. Today the trading CZK/USD was quite calm closing at 22,29. The US data released today caused some higher volatility, but didn´t influenced much the ST trend.
