CEZ reported leak of some thousands litres of slightly radioactive water in the second block of NPP Temelín. The leak from s non-nuclear part of the system was caused by untight armature. The radioactive water was collected in reservoirs designed for such cases. The second block continues to operate on the planned output, while the first unit is under regular maintenance and refuelling.
Separately: Also NPP Dukovany had to cut off its output to one quarter thanks to grid short-cut, however, the unit. Dukovany however shortly afterwards the output has started to increase.
Our view: We see the news as slightly negative as it is another problem in NPP Temelin in the short time. Note that unplanned shutdowns have negative impact on CEZ’s margins.
