The Czech koruna ends Tuesday session at 28,20 CZK/EUR, again a bit stronger. During another calm day, the Czech currency gradually firmed, positively influenced by the mood on CE region, which dragged higher also the HUF, PZL and SKK. No Czech macro data were released today, important figures are expected on Friday.
Despite the CZK firming against the EUR, the Czech currency weakened versus the dollar. The closing rate is 22,01. The effect of firming dollar on international markets outweighed the slight positive move of the koruna (vs.EUR). OECD said in a report today, that the Fed may need further policy tightening in order to ensure price stability. This supported the dollar on its way up after the euro failed to reach the 1,2900 level.
