CEZ obtained a licence to electricity trading in Serbia. Request was made due to planned opening of new markets in SEE region. Serbia represents not only new territory for future acquisitions but also for electricity exports as CEZ’s Svoboda commented.
Our view:
CEZ continues “dual expansion” in the region establishing its trading network already in the ninth country after Poland, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia and obviously Czech Republic. CEZ is step by step building its position to become energetic leader of the region in the future. We don’t expect this news to have any trading impact today.
