The Czech koruna closes the Thursday session weaker at 28,29 CZK/EUR. The fall came in the morning, when the rate reached as high as to 28,35 CZK/EUR. Then, some correction came in, but was not so big as on other currencies in the CE region. The forint erased its previous losses and even firmed significantly by the end of the session. The initial losses of the CE were caused by improved outlook of the US dollar after yesterday FOMC minutes.
The CZK ends weaker also against the dollar, the rate CZK/USD closes at 22,57. The dollar continues to profit from a positive mood on international markets. It trades stronger versus the euro at 1,2536 although the US August trade deficit reached another high at 69,86 bn. USD compared to expected -66,8 billion.
