Serbia will postpone selling NIS until the country adopts a new constitution and a new government is formed, Bloomberg reports Economy Minister Predrag Bubalo as saying. The country originally planned to select the buyer by the end of this year. Serbia's parliamentary elections are expected to be held in December should the country adopt a new constitution at referendum, scheduled for Oct. 28 and 29.
Mol and OMV confirmed on Friday that they are interested to buy a 25 percent stake in NIS and declared their interest to the Serbian government
Our view: We expect the closure of the tender for NIS for the second half of 2007, what is still feasible, in our view. We see the news as neutral for the share price of both companies.
