According to the Head of State Office for Nuclear Safety, 2nd block of NPP Temelin could be disconnected from the grid by another 14 to 30 days. This delay is related to the problems with the fuel, which reacts differently than it should.
Our view:
News about this issue occurred already on Wednesday; however the expected delay was somewhat shorter, i.e. 10 days. Any prolongation of the period when block is disconnected from the grid is obviously negative for CEZ as it is the cheapest source of energy, which needs to be replaced by more expensive coal production.
