The market closed stronger about 0.5%. The main contributors were CEZ and Erste. CEZ jumped to its all time high supported by sky rocketing PKN and MOL. Erste Bank finished above the CZK 1,510 on the back of the strong demand in Vienna. Komercni banka fell to the CZK 3,400 after posting weak 3Q06 results, when the stock was heavily sold-off by foreign accounts. CME took off to its all time high as it reported the gain USD 0.15 per share in 3Q06. Philip Morris was lifted after the Parliament passed the milder excise tax hike for the next year than originally proposed. Unipetrol also closed higher after posting 3Q06 results, but not that high as its mother company PKN Orlen. The total traded volume increased.
