The Czech koruna has set its new all-time high against the US dollar today firming to 21,52 CZK/USD. The move is a result of a broad dollar weakening on international markets. Yesterday, the sentiment on the USD worsened after lowering of GDP forecasts. Today, new jobless claims and Michigan consumer sentiment both came out worse than forecasts and caused another dollar selling. The rate USD/EUR now stands at 1,2830.
The koruna ended only with a little change against the euro at 27,92 CZK/EUR. Neither today comments of Czech central bankers nor weakening of other currencies in the region had any impact on today trading.
