The Czech koruna closes flat against the euro at 27,56 CZK/EUR. No Czech news were released today, trading was quiet due to Christmas hollydays. Moody´s has downgraded rating of Hungary to A2 from A1 - this has a negative impact on the forint, however, the CZK is not infuenced much.
The koruna weakened against the dollar and closed at 20,96 CZK/USD as the dollar firms against the euro. Today, the PCE price index in the US caused some weakening of the USD, but afterwards, better than expected consumer confidence of the Michigan University supported the currency and now the dollar trades stronger at 1,3140 USD/EUR.
