The Czech koruna has fallen against both, the euro and the dollar today. Closing rates are 27,66 CZK/EUR and 21,12 CZK/USD respectively. The main reason is weakening of the CE region due to good US dollar performance on international markets. Moreover, in Poland, the new candidate for central bank governor is negatively perceived by the markets and this caused a sharper fall of the zloty.
The dollar, supported by yesterday ISM manufactuing report, continued firming. Today data didn´t surprise much, so the rate now stabilizes slightly below the 1,31 USD/EUR line. Market awaits tomorrow US labour market data.
