CEO of TV
Nova Petr Dvorak said in the interview for HN Daily that TV
Nova most probably (80-90%) will not accept Technical Plan of Transition (TPP) to digital broadcasting. The end of March is the deadline for TV channels to express any remarks TPP. According to Dvorak TV
Nova will not accept TPP, because there are not promised amendatory act which allows current players to get compensatory TV licenses. CEO also said that digital license should guarantee about 95% of population (current - analogue 98%). TV
Nova also expects that will broadcast two channels 1+1, compensatory license. If all conditions will be fulfilled TV
Nova sees transitions to digital broadcasting in 2011-2012.
Our view:
There is not really new information in the interview. We see the negotiation position of TV
Nova with state regulator as a quite strong. We do not expect news to have any impact for today’s trading.
