The Czech market closed stronger in-line with the region. The total traded volume was well above the long-term averages. Index
PX strengthened for sixth consecutive session and finished at its all time high. Also Komercni banka set its new high after it reached great 3.5% gain on a strong demand from international investors.
Pegas increased even more than
KB and became the best performing stock, despite rumours about including
Pegas to “top buys” from ING were denied during the day. Also
CME increase by nice 1.9% after good performance of its US trade line.
CEZ was the most actively traded listing and reached
CZK 990, but closed above the
CZK 980 level.
Telefonica O2 CR was quite volatile and fell steeply to day’s low of
CZK 600 in the last hour of the trading.
