The Czech PX Index hovered all day long around its Friday closing level and finished slightly stronger. Activity and volatility were low with total traded volume below the long-term averages. CEZ and Komercni banka were the most actively traded listings. CEZ touched again the crucial CZK 1,000 right after the open, but didn’t have power to break it and erased almost all its gains by the close. Komercni banka increased by 0.8% and finished above the CZK 4,060 level. Telefonica O2 CR was down due to downgrade to “underporform” from “neutral” from CSFB, but losses were limited as investors betting on good results, which should be announced on Thursday, April 26. Pegas showed nice increase of 0.7% after ongoing demand from domestic broker.
