According to HN daily, CEZ plans to invest unspecified amount of money to wind mill plant in Poland, as conditions seems to be more favorable for this type of investment there than in the Czech Republic. Logical solution is location close to Baltic sea according to managing director of CEZ Poland. CEZ is currently in the search of partner there and plant could have 30 to 40 wind mills.
Our view:
We see this the news as neutral mainly due to the size of the investment, when one wind mill cost approximately EUR 2.2m, implying total CAPEX of some EUR 70-80m. CEZ produced from renewable resources less than 4% of its total output in 2006 but committed to increase this portion to 8% in 2010.
