The Czech main benchmark
PX Index finished slightly up. Komercni banka became the leader of the stocks exchange, nicely supported before tomorrow’s release of its 1Q07 results.
Philip Morris also fights for more interest and closed up nicely, gaining more than 2%. CEZ was the most actively traded stock as usual followed by Komercni banka,
Zentiva and
Telefonica O2 CR. We saw ongoing pressure on the real estate sector. ECM and
Orco were the worst performing listings on Thursday.
Telefonica O2 CR was not able to hold the
CZK 600 level and closed just below this standard. CEZ reached its new all-time-high after the market open at
CZK 1,095 but sellers pushed the stock back below
CZK 1,080 mark.
Zentiva was traded both ways, when mainly international players were active.
