Collective-wage talks between OKD coal mines and the unions fell apart yesterday. The unions rejected management’s proposal to reduce wages by 20% and withdrew their own proposal for a 7% reduction. OKD said that if coal prices were to rise, wages could start increasing again. Labor leader said that the demonstration next Tues. will show the strength of the miners. / The rejection of the proposal was released yesterday morning. Therefore, it should be mostly priced-in, althought it is slightly negative.
