Business Summary: Virtus Stone Harbor Emerging Markets Income Fund (the Fund) is a closed-end, non-diversified management investment company. The Fund's investment objective is to maximize total return, which consists of income on its investments and capital appreciation. The Fund normally will invest at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in Emerging Markets Securities. The Fund considers emerging market countries as those countries identified by the World Bank Group as being low-income economies or which are included in a J.P. Morgan emerging market bond index.
