Business Summary: iShares Global Tech ETF (the Fund), formerly iShares S&P Global Technology Sector Index Fund, is an exchange-traded fund (ETF). The Fund seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance of the S&P Global 1200 Information Technology Sector Index (the Index). The Index measures the performance of companies that Standard & Poor’s Financial Services LLC, a subsidiary of The McGraw-Hill Companies (S&P) deems to be part of the information technology sector of the economy. It is a subset of the S&P Global 1200. Components primarily include information technology and technology companies, and may change over time. The Fund generally invests at least 90% of its assets in securities of the Index and in depositary receipts representing securities of the Index. BlackRock Fund Advisors is the Fund’s investment adviser.
Financial Summary: BRIEF: For the fiscal year ended 31 March 2015, iShares S&P Global Technology Sect.(ETF) revenues increased 23% to $12.4M. Net income decreased 11% to $107.7M. Revenues reflect an increase in demand for the Company's products and services due to favorable market conditions. Net income was offset by Unrealized appreciation/depreciation on decrease of 24% to $79.2M (income), Realized Gain/Loss from Foreign Currency increase from $19K to $95K (expense).
