Business Summary: Swiss Steel Holding AG, formerly Schmolz+Bickenbach AG is a Switzerland-based manufacturer of tool steel and non-corrosive long steel, as well as alloyed and high-alloyed constructional steel. The Company operates through two business segments: Production and Sales & Services. The Production segment specializes in the production of tool steel, stainless steel, engineering steel, bright steel and other specialty products, and encompasses the business units Deutsche Edestahlwerke, Finkl Steel, Steeltec Group, Swiss Steel and Ugitech. The Sales and Services segment comprises the distribution and service activities of the Company. The Company operates in Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia and Australia.
Financial Summary: BRIEF: For the fiscal year ended 31 December 2023, Swiss Steel Holding AG revenues decreased 20% to EUR3.24B. Net loss totaled EUR295.7M vs. income of EUR9.3M. Revenues reflect Engineering Steel segment decrease of 27% to EUR1.51B, Stainless Steel segment decrease of 11% to EUR1.17B, Germany segment decrease of 22% to EUR1.08B, Italy segment decrease of 37% to EUR355M.
