The PX-50 index gained 0.47% to 430.50 points on Thursday. Despite stronger European markets yesterday, trading in Prague was fairly quietly and uneventful; volume was low at USD 12 mil. in the SPAD. For today, we expect the Czech market to turn downward, with Komercni banka a likely target for profit taking. Investors will be watching developments in the Cesky Telecom privatization (see below), though it is unlikely any official news will be forthcoming today.
