A high-level representative of the National Property Fund said that a new valuation of CEPS, the transmission-grid operator to be sold to the NPF by CEZ, could be completed in half of July. The planned transaction between CEZ and the state (CEZ’s purchase of the state’s stakes in eight regional distributors and the sale of a 66% stake in CEPS) could be completed by the end of July.
The news is encouraging, but possible legal challenges and antitrust approval still cloud pose significant hurdles to the transaction’s completion.
