The PX-50 index yesterday closed 0.14% down with a turnover of USD 26m. Cesky Telecom was the biggest loser, with the stock losing 2.1% on light profit taking by international investors. Unipetrol lost 1.5% also on profit taking, though mainly by local investors. Komercni banka was unchanged and closed slightly above CZK 3,000 with very low activity. CEZ lost 0.3% also on low activity. Erste Bank was the winner of the day, adding 1.9%: the stock was following a rally on the Vienna Stock Exchange, and the gains were also accelerated by a significant weakness of the CZK.
