The Slovak Economy Minister, P. Rusko, informed yesterday that five investors have submitted a preliminary bid for a 49% stake in Slovenske elektrarne (SE) and that two of them are interested in both the nuclear and conventional assets; he gave no names of bidders (Reuters). Recall that CEZ confirmed it had submitted a bid for all SE's assets. A short-list of bidders to be allowed to conduct due diligence at SE is expected to be announced by the end of December.
P. Rusko also said that the government is considering increasing the stake it will offer in SE from the current 49% to 51-66%.
