CEZ's largest lignite power plant, at Prunerov, was offline on Friday due to a windstorm that damaged the grid operated by CEPS, the majority-state-owned transmission-grid operator. CEZ replaced Prunerov's 1 GW capacity (more than 9% of CEZ's overall capacity) with standby sources. The repairs are reportedly to take several months. This should not have a significant negative impact on the company (some reschedule of regular repairs at CEZ's other power plants are likely).
