Cesky Telecom said yesterday it is starting commercial operations in Germany, offering voice and data services to fixed-line operators, mobile and Internet providers through its Frankfurt subsidiary, Czech Telecom Germany. The news is in line with Cesky Telecom's international expansion strategy to operate an international optical network with access points in the countries bordering the Czech Republic: Slovakia, Austria, Germany. Services in Poland and Hungary are already covered through local partners. Until some indication of the revenue and profit-generation potential of the expansion is provided, we consider the news neutral.
