The PX-50 index closed down 0.26% to 504.60 points on Thursday. Overall, the trading was thin marked by limited foreign investor interest. Komercni banka and CEZ were the only stocks with any flow, though both saw prices weaken. Komercni gave up 0.20% of its value after its stock was downgraded by some brokerage houses on Wednesday, and CEZ surrendered some recent gains even though it seems well positioned for further growth.
Unipetrol traded unchanged yesterday; despite its 30% gain in 2003 to date, the stock will almost certainly appreciate further as privatization-related news shall increase. Cesky Telecom traded again around CZK 300 with no clear near-term direction apparent. We expect another quiet session today with marginal intra-day volatility. Volume in SPAD trading system reached USD 11.67 mil. yesterday.
