Ceske radiokomunikace yesterday unveiled a plan to install 10,000 Internet public terminals across the country over the next four years, at a cost of CZK 1 bil. The terminals, which will be located mainly at post offices and petrol stations, will allow access to the Internet, online commerce, Internet telephony, etc. We presume that the company is trying to complement its national backbone network with some local public access; the commercial success of such a project has yet to be proven, we believe. We do not expect the stock to respond to the news.
