Politics: As expected the Lower of House did not elect its Speaker last Friday for the third time as Social Democrats recalled the only candidate and the centre-right coalition made it clear that they would not support him. The centre-right coalition will hold talks on the program and its potential support for CSSD’s candidate for the speaker’s position this week. Social Democrats earlier proposed that the Speaker would ask the leader who is able to present support of at least 101 to form a Government (the President ask a party leader twice while the Speaker the third time).
Our view: We continue to see the only way from the current political deadlock in some sort of co-operation between the two largest parties ODS and CSSD while the likelihood of early elections is rising.
