According to HN daily, not only two leading private channels TV Nova and TV Prima push for delaying fully digital broadcasting behind year 2009 but also state Czech TV expressed itself that 10 October 2010 would be reasonable deadline.
Our view:
As we informed previously six new digital channels push for early launch, most probably 9 September 2009, while TV Nova pushes for 2011 or even 2012 for obvious reasons related to advertising market. The attitude of Czech TV, where ad broadcasting will be terminated before 2007 and thus digital broadcasting doesn’t represent a big threat seem like non-conflicting attitude in between two camps. We see the news as neutral at this point and should not effect today’s trading with CME, which will be probably driven more by expectations of 1H06 results which are scheduled on Aug 3.
