The Czech koruna touched the 28,00 line again, staying positively influenced by moves on USD/EUR. This pushes higher the emerging currencies. Polish zloty however weakened by the end of today trading, when some investors trimmed their long positions before tomorrow data. This was also the reason, why the CZK closed lower at 28,05 CZK/EUR.
The koruna firmed against the dollar, closing at 21,82 CZK/USD. The dollar stays quite stable on international markets. Better-than-expected new jobless claims, released today, had only short-lived impact on trading. Now, the USD/EUR is at 1,2865.
