Mastercard has partnered with China-based e-commerce and logistics company JD.com to develop new payments capabilities. The companies will initially focus on expanding payment infrastructure for cross-border commerce and improving the experience for inbound visitors to China. The partnership also includes collaboration on applying AI and other advanced technologies to commerce and fraud prevention tools.

The Chinese e-commerce company posted adjusted earnings per share of RMB5.12, beating the analyst consensus of RMB3.64 by RMB1.48. Revenue reached RMB315.7 billion, surpassing the estimate of RMB311 billion.

On April 1, JD.com announced the pricing of its offshore offering of CNY-denominated senior unsecured notes totaling CNY10 billion. The offering consists of two tranches: CNY7.5 billion in notes due in 2031 with a 2.05% interest rate, and CNY2.5 billion in notes due in 2036 with a 2.75% interest rate. The transaction is expected to close around April 10, subject to customary conditions, and the notes are slated to be listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The company plans to use the net proceeds from this offering for general corporate purposes. This includes the repayment of specific existing debts and the payment of associated interest.

Tak tady jsem opravdu rád za předčasné ukončení čínského experimentu za jen kosmetické ztráty. Jak tak koukám, směr to stále drží stejně špatný. Přitom se to jevilo tak nadějně.

Investing.com -- Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com announced it will launch a new vehicle in collaboration with battery maker CATL and automaker GAC, according to a company post on Weibo. Public test drive events for the new vehicle will begin at the end of October, with the official launch scheduled for November 9. A JD spokesperson clarified that the company will not be directly involved in manufacturing the vehicle. Instead, JD will contribute consumer insights and provide exclusive sales channels for the new automobile. This partnership brings together JD’s e-commerce expertise with CATL’s battery technology and GAC’s automotive manufacturing capabilities.
