Mobile operators active on the Czech market have said for CTK the conditions proposed by the Czech Telecommunication Office (CTU) for the new auction of frequencies for the fast LTE mobile networks are unacceptable for them. Operators did not rule out the possibility that they will not take part in the auction unless CTU adjusts the conditions. The deadline for submitting comments on the conditions was midnight yesterday. Operators object mainly to CTU's plan to allocate part of the most lucrative 800 MHz frequency band only to a possible new fourth operator, which they consider discriminatory. The previous auction for frequencies in the 800, 1,800 and 2,600 MHz bands was cancelled by CTU in March. / The incumbents have been trying to lobby against this condition but we expect they haven’t been succesful which may be negative for TELO2 CR shares if our expectation is correct.
