Eurotel, Cesky Telecom's 100%-owned subsidiary, registered 4.22m users at the end of 2003 (an increase of 323,000 customers y-o-y); Cesky Mobil (CM), the No.3 domestic mobile operator, had 1.55m clients after adding 367,000 new customers last year. T-Mobile CR (in which České radiokomunikace owns 39%) reportedly gained more than its competitors, to approx. 3.9m. The mobile penetration rate approached 95% at the end of 2003. Source: MFDnes.
Overall, these are very strong figures, confirming T-Mobile CR's effort to become No. 1 on the market in two years in terms of clients. Eurotel seems to have already shifted its focus from the acquisition of new customers to their retention and ARPU maximization.
