The PX-50 index was up marginally yesterday, rising 0.06% to 624.4 points in a relatively active trading session. Cesky Telecom was the busiest stock, losing 2.3% of its value on the day. There was no specific news behind the sell-off; rather, the weakening came as TelSource, a KPN/Swisscom consortium, prepares to sell its 27% stake in CT to institutional investors. Komercni banka, on the other hand, gained some 1.6% on international buying, again on no specific news. To the end of the week, we expect that Prague will be relatively quiet, especially as US markets are closed today for a public holiday, though lower liquidity may though mean increased volatility. Cesky Telecom and Komercni banka will remain in our focus. Volume in the SPAD trading system reached USD 31.38m yesterday.
