The PX-50 index closed up by 0.25% to 552.70 points on Thursday. Overall, trading picked up somewhat, especially after trading in Komercni banka got momentum. Philip Morris CR rose sharply, up over 3.5% on the day, after a Florida court ruled in favor of its parent company, Altria, in the U.S. Erste Bank remains well demanded by international buyers, with volume in Prague yesterday exceeding that in Vienna, where the Austrian-based bank is also listed. Cesky Telecom closed at a one-year high in rising to CZK 350. Total volume in the SPAD system stood at USD 13.69 mil.
