The PX-50 index closed down 0.34% to 520.70 points on April 30 (May 1st was a national holiday in the Czech Republic), when most major blue-chip companies reported their Q1 results. Komercni banka lost 1.50% on the back of the results as some investors were discouraged by higher-than-expected provisioning at the bank; Cesky Telecom was unchanged; and Unipetrol lost 0.40% to CZK 47.4 in a considerable volume of roughly USD 1.53 mil. in the SPAD trading system and with an and additional USD 1.2 mil. in odd-lot KOBOS system. We believe that Unipetrol’s stock price will turnaround and rise again. Volume in the SPAD reached USD 19.57 mil. on Wednesday.
