The largest Czech builder Skanska CZ has beaten Ceopra and ECM in the final round of the tender for the CSOB headquarters building project. The largest Czech bank received more than 40 offers of projects situated in various Prague localities but only Cecopra, ECM and Skanska reached the last round. Finally ČSOB selected the Radlice project of company Skanska.
The architectonic design of the new building of the ČSOB Group’s headquarters will be at a high level. Its construction should be finished in the autumn of the year 2006 and the building will house 2,400 employees of the bank and its subsidiaries.
Up till now ČSOB uses 14 mostly rather old buildings all over Prague for the bank’s headquarters. The bank plans to sell these buildings once the new headquarters are finished. By concentrating the headquarters in one building, they will achieve cost savings and a number of operations will be more efficient, the bank's spokesman Pavel Hejzlar said in today’s press release.
