Main merger facts: On Friday evening Computerland and Emax have announced a merger that is to be completed in 2007. Emax is to cease being traded, with ComputerLand remaining on the WSE. As a result of the transaction leading to a merger, BBI Capital (current biggest Emax shareholder) is to become ComputerLand’s biggest shareholder. ComputerLand’s current CEO, Michal Danielewski, is to retain his position, while current Emax’s CEO, Piotr Kardach, is to be proposed at the EGM for ComputerLand’s deputy CEO. As a result, the merged company is to be the third biggest IT company (after Prokom and currently merging Asseco with Softbank) with a capitalization of some PLN 1.2bn. Today at 10.00 there’s a meeting with analysts.
